Crab mascot holding a golden padlock for the Sagar Club privacy policy

This privacy policy explains what Sagar Club keeps when you read this website or play the official game at app.sagarclub.com, where that information is held, who processes it and how you can delete it. We keep only what the game needs to work.

In brief: the guide website has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies. The game keeps a small account record on the Sagar Club server so you can sign in from any device, and you can delete it at any time. This policy applies from and was last updated on .

Who This Policy Covers

This privacy policy covers two services, both run by Sagar Club: this guide website (sagarclub.com) and the Sagar Club game (app.sagarclub.com). "We" means the Sagar Club team. "You" means anyone who opens either one.

The game also shows its own short privacy policy at app.sagarclub.com/privacy. It is a shorter summary for the game alone; this page covers both services in full.

This policy does not cover other apps, sites or groups that use the Sagar Club name. We do not control them, and they may collect far more than we do. If one asks for your phone number or payment details, it is not us.

The Guide Website

You can read every guide without an account, and this website never asks you for any personal details. It runs no advertising, no analytics or visitor-tracking tools and no tracking pixels, and our pages set no cookies of their own.

A small background script, called a service worker, lets you install the site as a web app. It saves one thing in your browser's cache: a tiny "You are offline" page that appears when a page cannot load. Pages are always fetched fresh from the network first, and the script does not store or send anything about you.

What the Game Stores

The game at app.sagarclub.com keeps accounts on the Sagar Club server, so your username and password work on any phone or computer. The table lists every kind of item it stores.

Data the Sagar Club game keeps for each account
ItemWhat it holdsWhy it is needed
UsernameThe name you chose (or one given to a guest account). To sign you in and show your rank.
PasswordA salted PBKDF2 hash only, never the password itself. To check your password at sign-in.
Email (optional)Only if you choose to add one.To help confirm the account is yours if you write to us.
Date of birthThe date you entered at the age check. To confirm you are 18 or older.
Coin balanceYour current virtual coins. To run the game.
PicksEach pick: room, round, choice, stake, result and coins returned. To settle rounds and show your History.
Bonus claimsWhen you claimed a daily bonus or refill, and how many coins. To apply the bonus and refill timing rules.
Weekly totalsNet coins, wins and number of picks for the current week.To build the Weekly Ranks leaderboard.
Sign-in sessionA session token, kept on our side only as a hash.To keep you signed in until you log out.

Rounds themselves (period number, commit hash, revealed seed and result) are stored too, but they hold nothing about you. Anyone can view them to check that a result was fair.

How Your Password Is Protected

The server never stores your password. At sign-up it creates a random salt, mixes it with your password and runs both through PBKDF2, a slow one-way method built for passwords. Only that output is kept, and each later sign-in repeats the process to check for a match.

This means nobody can read your password back from the database, including us. There is no password reset feature; the help page for sign-in problems explains what to do if you forget it.

What the Game Keeps on Your Device

To keep you signed in, the game saves your sign-in token in your browser. It also remembers that you passed the age check, the date of birth you entered there, your language choice (English or Hindi) and, for a guest, the key that links the device to the guest account. Logging out removes the sign-in token. Clearing the site data for app.sagarclub.com in your browser removes all of it.

Guest Accounts

"Play now — no signup" creates a guest account on the server with no email and no password you chose. It is tied to the device you used. If you later save it under your own username and password, the same account keeps its coins, History and rank. If you never save it and lose the device or clear its data, the guest account can no longer be reached.

What Other Players Can See

The Weekly Ranks leaderboard shows the usernames of top players next to their net coins for the week. Nothing else about you is shown to other players: not your email, your date of birth, your balance or your list of picks. Choose a username that does not reveal your real name or phone number.

Why We Use This Data

We use account data only to run the game: to sign you in, settle your picks, apply bonuses, show your History and build the leaderboard. We may also look at it to fix a fault you report, to answer your email or to stop cheating and abuse, such as bots or one person running many accounts.

We do not use it for advertising and we do not build marketing profiles.

Cloudflare and Request Data

Both services run on Cloudflare. The website is served by Cloudflare, and the game runs on Cloudflare Workers, with accounts in a Cloudflare D1 database and rounds run by Cloudflare Durable Objects. Your data is processed on that infrastructure for us.

Each time your phone loads a page, it passes the usual technical details to Cloudflare: the IP address of your connection, a short note on your browser and device (the user agent), which address you opened and when. Cloudflare needs these to deliver the page and to stop attacks and abuse. When it has to tell people apart from automated traffic, it can place a brief security cookie of its own for that check alone.

What We Never Collect or Sell

Things Sagar Club does not collect
Never collectedWhy not
Phone number or OTPSign-in uses a username and password only.
Aadhaar, PAN or any IDThe age check uses a date of birth, nothing more.
Bank, card or UPI detailsThere are no payments, deposits or withdrawals.
Contacts, camera, microphone or locationThe game does not need them.
Advertising or tracking dataThere are no ads and no analytics tools.

We do not sell, rent or trade your data to anyone. We share it only with Cloudflare, which processes it to run the services, or where Indian law requires it.

Keeping and Deleting Your Data

We keep your account data while your account exists. You can delete the account yourself at any time, either from the Profile screen in the game or at app.sagarclub.com/delete-account.

Deleting removes your username, password hash, email, date of birth, coin balance, picks, sessions and weekly totals from the database. Deletion cannot be undone, and we are not able to restore a deleted account.

If you cannot sign in to delete your account, email [email protected] with your username and we will help.

Age Limit and Children

Sagar Club is only for people aged 18 or above, and the game asks for a date of birth before anyone can enter. It is not designed for children. If you believe a child has made an account, write to us and we will remove it. Parents can also clear the game's site data on a shared phone.

Links to Other Websites

Some pages link to outside services, such as government help lines and reference articles. Those sites have their own privacy rules, which we do not control. Please read them before you share anything there.

Changes to This Policy

Should the website or the game begin keeping something new, or stop keeping something listed here, this privacy policy will be revised and its date changed. The current version applies from . The rules for using Sagar Club are set out separately in our terms of use.
